Introduction to Dots and Ties

In this lesson we will explore two ways of adding duration to some of our symbols using dots and ties. A tie is a curved line that sums the duration of the tied together notes of the same pitch. The augmentation dot, or just dot, can be placed to the right of a durational symbol to increase its duration by one and a half.
