Overview

This module is dedicated to putting the information about pitch and rhythm you have learned so far into use by notating a simple tune, as well as creating two simple pieces of music. We will begin with a review, and then progress to a short introduction into harmony with a discussion of chords. Finally, we will have a Quiz on Pitch and Rhythm.

Objectives

  • Use the concepts common to most notation software to enter the pitches and rhythms for a short, simple tune
  • Compose a simple melody in two phrases
